The original Kitchen in this spectacular Mediterranean home consisted of an outdated 1920's design which separated the area into separate spaces. The owners desired a gathering island which would foster daily family interaction and an overall design that functioned well and created a connection to the beautifully landscaped back yard. Varying countertop heights were also included as a comfort feature for one of the owners. Additionally, the new plan was realized through the reconfiguration of the adjacent Powder Room and Mudroom.
