Thorne Lane

The original intent of this project was to address an ongoing roof leak and create leisure space that would allow the homeowner to visually take advantage of the property's spectacular ravine setting. Additionally, as the first dwelling constructed in this North Shore community in the early 1900's, the design had to respect the home's historic architecture. As the project progressed, structural deficiencies were discovered, resulting in a complicated re-building of existing portions of the home including the Family Room. Ultimately, the Family Room and Sunroom, part of the original project scope, were constructed as new additions.
